Katherine was introduced to Hakomi in 2009 as a client, fell in love with the process, participated in not just one but three workshops because she found Hakomi so alluring. She then waited patiently for a Midwest training to be offered. In 2013 she committed to becoming a Certified Hakomi Practitioner.
“I’ve had the opportunity to work with therapists and counselors of many traditions. They helped me in different areas of my life. But I trained in Hakomi because it’s been the most profound, effective, and transformative form of healing I’ve experienced and I wanted to make it available for the community where I live. I am continually in awe of the process and unfolding of the client experience. I feel consistently supported by the guiding principles of Hakomi and I trust the unfolding wisdom of the present felt experience to give the client exactly what they need, ultimately supporting them in their lives outside of the session. That has been my personal experience throughout my training, supervision and personal healing as a Hakomi client.” -Katherine
