Jen has studied a lot of different modalities (Deep tissue, acupressure, tui na, Swedish, cranial sacral, etc) of massage for more than a decade. She offers personalized massage sessions either on a massage table or coming this spring, on the mat utilizing Thai Massage techniques. Each session is unique and specific to your needs, right now. Jen also incorporates energetic work like Reiki and utilizes quantum physics called Matrix Energetics. This is all done by being present and paying attention without judgement. Any of these sessions would benefit those that would like to change in their lives, those who want to feel relaxed, those healing from an injury, and those who want to explore other options and participate in their own healing and transformation
Before moving up north over 2 years ago, Jen had a thriving private practice in the Driftless region for 8 years. You might recognize her from Superior Body Massage and Spa. She is now expanding into private practice again and offering services in Ashland and Thai Massage this spring.
Jen is committed to service and helping people because she feels that if people are free of pain and feel good on all levels, they have a much greater capacity to care for the planet.
Jen has a Bachelor of Arts in Health, Nutrition & Herbs from Western Washington University and has worked in the natural foods industry for 16 years before taking a break to start a family. After having her children she realized she wanted to work more individually with people, be physically active, self employed, and still utilize her past experience. This led her to attend the East West Healing Arts Institute and study massage therapy.
In her spare time, Jen enjoys spending time with her family outside doing things like biking, hiking, kayaking, sailing, swimming and more. She also enjoys cooking and preserving food, herbs, exploring the creative process thru art and music and traveling, learning old skills, and about other cultures, spending time with her family which consists of her husband, 2 amazing kids, and 4 pets. Her family is starting a little homestead in the area. Jen loves to travel and explore and learn from other cultures. Her favorite things are listening to the wind as it blows thru white pine boughs, feeling the sand and water move under her feet – reminding me that this planet is alive, the soft sweet cheek of her childrens face in the morning and having a cup of coffee with her husband. She also has a strong interest in pushing herself to grow spiritually, mentally, and physically and learning all the time
